You drive a lot accepting anything. Probably they think you don't need an extra motivation to keep accepting their valuable pool at base.
Seriously talking.
Actually been very picky on rides for some time now. I took three months off all together except for the occasional ride, and now just starting to pick the numbers back up again.

I think it has more to do with demand. With school back in they lost a lot of part timers and typical Uber they do exactly the opposite to motivate. I never chase the quest either, if I get it I get it. The 35 made it a lot easier though.

Lyft if giving some decent promos, I noticed with Lyft the better your acceptance rate is and if you do it primarily (rather than Uber) they give better promos, I just started Lyft primarily (as my silent protest to Uber over their stupid new surge model) and noticed they have been giving me some decent promos, this week I got $10 for 5 rides every morning and evening as well as 16 rides for $22 or 26 rides for $46.

They upped mine from 18 rides to 25 after I hit quest for the first time in 2 or 3 months. I'll stay on an hour or two extra for quest but with long suburban rides quest can be useless. I started the day with a 35 minute ride paying $40 after tip then did another DF ride on my way to work. $45 for a little over an hour logged on.

My Quest hasn't changed in weeks - still $45 for 30 rides and $90 for 60. I also went to Lyft the weekend after flat surge started and hit the last PDB (first tier: $60 for 50 total, 30 peak, 90% AR). Lyft pax and tips were great, and I was looking forward to getting the weekly ride challenge, but all I've gotten since was a streak bonus for Sunday night before Labor Day. My weekend Quests have been holding at $80 for 55, and if Lyft isn't giving me anything I'm staying with those.

I stopped by Lyft hub and an employee who drives said he hasn't gotten a ride challenge either, so only some are getting them. I would think they would want to capitalize on driver anger over flat surge by getting as many drivers on board as possible, but stupidity is not just an Uber thing...

Plan B is the only plan.
I like that.

Okay, I got to the bottom of it. At the beginning of July I rented from Hertz for a week so I could still do Uber while my car was in the body shop. That triggered the promo Uber has for drivers that rent from Hertz. I returned the car after 7 days but somehow the Hertz promo stuck all through the rest of July and August and up until last Sunday. Somebody finally caught the mistake and undid it. I'm sort of screwed for this week but next week I'll be back on whatever promo they have for regular not-Hertz drivers.
So much for your theroy, Greg1973.
