I am getting renewal ready to be sent to TLF.
My mates on the ground and TFL in their letter are suggesting sending renewal online as a quicker and easier process but I remember reading here that online applications were delayed several weeks and someone sent by Post and received his renewed license after a week.
What are your experiences/ recommendations?

Thanks.

Mate do online, much easier and quicker. Most of information they already have anyway.

If jobsworth find even the slightest error in your application then it will be delayed irrespective of whether it was sent by post or online.

The biggest issue is with medical form (if applicable). You must make sure that the doc has answered each and every question correctly otherwise it will go to and fro between TfL, you and your doctor.

Tbh doesn't matter I did online for convenience and took 2 weeks. You got 3 months left anyway on your license no rush do it post/online won't make a difference
On the contrary, do it as soon as possible because you never know how long TfL will take unless you are uncertain whether you intend to carry on with cabbing in 3 months time.
