I'll be moving to Portland in a few days and will be ubering for a few months.

Just wondering what the guarantees look like. Or what you average hourly.

I'm coming from the San Francisco market, so I expect to make less in Portland.

I wouldn't do it were I you. Probably better just to stay in San Fran. I'm about ready to give it up it's so bad. After expenses i'm lucky to get 5 bucks an hour. sad face emoji

85% weekly acceptance
M-F 7-9 $26 1 ride/hour
M-F 5-7 $24 1 ride/hour
Post-Concert/NBA game $26 1.5 ride/h
Friday night (some not all) $28 2 ride/h
Saturday pre-midnight $30 2 ride/h
Saturday late night/Sunday wee hours $32 2 ride/h

This week, I got boost instead of guarantee.
On Monday I was online 2:51, got $32 of fares and will get $26.4 deposited after boost and commission
Tuesday, 2:00 $24 , $21.71
Today I got pinged once from 5 to 6:22 and that ride canceled before I got a foot outside my door

Anyone get promotions or guarantees this week? I've only ever been offered guarantees one time since I started at the turn of the year.
I might be taking a break from driving Thursday through Saturday (for a new part-time to full-time job at a local store) so let's see if that brings forth another offer the following week.

Got Lyft guarantee for 9-10 by Providence park which is pretty much worthless. Probably can't even find a fire hydrant to park in front of as the game lets out.

Checked the app and looks like I got it too. Basically work Friday at any time from 9 am to 3 am sat and hey guaranteed 26-30 an hour. Sat is from 5 pm to 3 am sun. Same money. Is that the same as everyone else?

No guarantees or boost for me. I've only recieved 1 earlier this year and it was practically worthless. Im still bitter i wasn't offered anything new years eve and i struggled to make 150 all night long. Were you guys saying you recieved a guarantee for st pattys day? If so would you be able to post a screen shot?

Thanks for that. I haven't seen an option to turn it off. I don't know why uber shafts me like this. I just messaged them and told them that they guaranteed I would not drive this weekend. I'm not going to go out there and bust my butt while they subsidize other drivers

I haven't had any guarantees etc offered for the last couple of months.
I didn't always sign up for them in the past, so perhaps the system is tired of asking me.

Generally, however, when I did sign up for them, I noticed that it was only a marginal increase if any beyond what I could make working both platforms and not worrying about acceptance rates.

Please be kind when you reply to this question 'cause it might sound dumb. I have a language impairment and am trying to understand this promotion for the weekend (Fri, Sat and Sunday):
Accept 80% of the delivery requests you receive and: Complete 1.2 delivery trips per hour online during the 11am-2pm periods; complete 1 delivery trip per hour online during the 2pm - 5pm and 9pm - 11pm periods; complete 1.4 delivery trips per hour online during the 5pm-9pm periods. Do I need to do ALL of this to get the guarantees? In other words, do I need to complete that many trips for every period for all three days? I'd need to be online for 12 hrs for three days in a row. If that's the case, if I sit in my car downtown and only complete 1 trip/hr from 11-2 (instead of the required 1.2), but complete the required trips in every other period on every other day, are all bets off? thx!
