No I got the key data. Yes uber losses money on trips. This is another beta that will go away. I had a driver show me her beta. I driver beta where the earnings didn't have the bar graphs and the bonus were shown for total payment immediately. Her bonus were very small and she has to report to uber on the use of the app. She dropped me off in the bus stop cause she prefers to use them.
I lost those bar graphs months ago. I liked that layout better. The new one has no improvements I can see. No pros, all cons. Yet when they released it it was "the new more simple earnings readout". You used to be able to see the week's total: fare, boost, surge, fee, tolls. Now you can only see that for each individual day. So if you want your week's toll total, you have to look at each day and add it (big deal, I rarely cross a bridge). But if you want to see how the fare for the week compares with the boost and surge amount for the week, you have to look at each day and add them. And each day must be touched, then back, then touch next day, then back. That's not simpler. They could have just released the new version and said nothing and it would have sucked, but they also have to rub it in by telling you it's simpler and better. No it's not. And I had a new Uber employee in the car, who was to be working on the front end of the app. He was all excited talking to his other Pool rider who was a new employee at another tech place. He asked me what could be changed to make it better. Unprepared for such a question, my head imploded cuz which thing do I think of first. They all try to come out at once and then I can't think of a single one. So I lamed out and told him the street names should be larger on the map, cuz no matter how much you zoom in, the names just shrink back to barely readable unless you are 3 inches from the screen. I wish I could at least hear what the developers think makes the new payment screen better. At least a rationale. I like arguments. I like knowing pros & cons rather than just having an opinion. But the newest payment screen seems 100% cons, no pros. What the hell were they thinking. I can't sleep sometimes cuz I just need to know, what are they thinking.
There's nothing express about pool.This is an oxymoron! But it's just a beta so hopefully the "good" people of uber figure this out and get rid of it along with Travis.
What I meant by key data though, was Pool express didn't charge me an Uber fee, so it's worth more than a Pool or an X ride. So accept them. Don't be afraid. Get em while they're good.
