Australians will be in lockdown until JUNE, admits police boss as he reveals the acceptable reasons for leaving home.
Coronavirus lockdowns in Australia's biggest states will last until June, it was revealed this morning - as police described the only acceptable reasons to leave home.
New South Wales Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said the level three restrictions will last at least 90 days.
He did not say what would happen after that time as health officials wait to see if the draconian measures succeed in bringing down coronavirus infection rates.
At a press conference this morning, Mr Fuller revealed police powers to fine people who break social distancing rules will last for three months.
He said: 'There was a good question yesterday about when is the turn-off period for these health orders. It is 90 days.'

50,000 would've died form the yearly flu by now compared to 4000 from Covid.
It's just a different strain of flu, of course people die form flu.
In the UK alone they've had 1000 deaths but by this time last year, the common seasonal flu had killed 14,000.
And... Are you really gullible enough to get a flu shot?
Please don't.

There is no way a vaccine will be in place and available by winter - 2 - 3 months
The process involved in finding a vaccine, testing the vaccine across and then having it authorized usually takes 12 -18 months.
yes, they will work and are working hard to work one out, but i would still say it will be a minimum of 6-9 months before a vaccine is offivcially released.
yes, get a regular flue shot.
Up your vitamins and do whatever you can to increase the strength of your immune system
but ultimately these wont stop the virus from infecting you should you catch it.

Thanks to a vaccine tens of thousands of people haven't died from the flu this year.
I think you are gullible with your naive comments and your YouTube education conspiracy theories.
When you grow up and have a family of your own and have real responsibilities like feeding and housing a family I bet you, your views and opinions will change.
100 percent with the vaccine taking months to approve, i believe if people start dieing in big numbers they will roll it out quicker without all the bureaucracy.

I remember learning about the Great Depression in history at school.
Massive worldwide recession which led to support of nazism in Germany and 02nd world war.
How can u equate this thing with that.
My economic prospects have improved with access to $20k super and $750 per week from government and I am sure am not alone.
Petrol prices down to 84c,6 month monortoriam on rents eviction and mortgage payments etc

Got a text from my doctor that flu shots were available and to make an appointment. Got a second text 43 minutes later to say don’t bother, they’re all gone, try again after the 8th of April. Bloody Nora!

Living conditions or economically it doesn't appear that it will get anywhere near as tough as it was in the great deppression. Although life in populated third world countries (without govt. support) with an out of control virus might get pretty tough as well. We are lucky to be living here in Australia. It will definately result in the biggest recession that we've ever seen and may also be considered as also a depression.
Also for many years since WW2 humans in the developed world have become very comfortable, so they think nothing will happen to them. Many in 1913 and 1938 couldn't have ever imagined on what the world was going to go through with both of these world wars. WW1 was meant to be the war to end all wars. Like in the past, a small event can spark it all. Humans always fight, its part of our nature.
Currently theres a lot of patriotic dictator type leaders around the world so that slightly increases our chances. Also there is a huge power struggle happening, the US has weakened and has challengers. Just for arguments sake, if a major war were to happen between the big boys, the bigger weapons probably wont be used, but who knows. Anyway, thats just my imagination going out of control and i'm not suggesting that WW3 is likely anytime soon, but i do predict that there will be some sort of biff and repercussion after this virus.
