The pax themselves can use common sense and simply make sure the driver, the car and the license plate match what is on their user app

expecting the pax to do that is more than Uber is willing to require of them.

and common sense??? Not sure what kind of Pax you normally get. But the college age 20 something?? Common sense is not very common among them.

There are ways to ensure the ride is a valid ride. But that requires tech beyond what Uber will implement and add a layer that will require the customer to need to deal with. Fact is riders should not just jump into anyone's car with out validation.

Just like I don't let random people in my car without verification.
