Most of the complaints I get about Uber drivers from pax is about music. They say that drivers are playing music both loud and with vulgar lyrics. I have experienced the loudness part when I use uber as well. Why uber awards badges for music, I will never understand. Unless the pax requests the radio to be on, I don't have it on. There is plenty of down time to get your music on. Plus the pax are not in the car that long to begin with. Be professional.

I usually play music while I drive but I always make sure its appropriate and quiet. Last night leaving ohare I had some customer who demanded I turn off my music (lovedrive by the scorpions, like come on) in the rudest manner possible. First time it's ever happened

Although he to be fair he also shouted down his mentally challenged son for playing his video game too loudly so maybe this particular guy was just a jerk.

The guy sounds pretty demanding. Did you actually turn off your music completely?

Almost 11,000 rides in 2 and half yrs only 3 people asked me to turn off my radio all with lyft so I 1 stared them and guess what I'll never see them again. I listen to 97.9 da loop, this isn't a taxi this is my personal car no way in hell do I want to sit in my car with the radio off in complete silence for the duration of the trip. So f$$$ing awkward

I listen to talk radio when by myself in the car, but turn it down when a passenger gets in.

I usually play a Spotify custom 250 song playlist that I update every week or so. Early morning drives is either 91.5 FM or 870 AM news radio or silence if the rider is still trying to wake up on a 4AM morning run to the airport. I'm selective about who I agree to provide aux cord to. I can usually tell if I'm going to have a "problem listener" right away. Touch my volume controls and the radio goes off---not negotiable.

I always play my music. I've never got any complaints & I have a 4.90 rating. It depends on how loud the music is & type of music. If ur playing rap music, then eventually someone will be offended. I play jazz music or lounge down tempo music.
Im the opposite. All the times pax requested the radio on regardless of color they always wanted mt to turn on 92.3 or shade 45.
