Yes, there will probably be drivers though not many. I second what LAuberX said, install Lyft too so you up your chances of getting a ride. Don't fret though, you'll get one.

 

You're probably use to taking UberX. But if for any reason you can't get an UberX, try UberXL or Plus; costs a few Drackma more but you're not far from LAX. Lyft also a backup but don't think a lot of Lyft Drivers in Torrance?

Also, if you're close to the 405 Fwy in Torrance, probably a better chance at that time in the early am. Got Uber/Lyft drivers going both directions on 405.

And lastly, yes, it's okay to tip your Uber Driver

It really does insure prompt reliable service...offer it up and stop worrying

 

When you're ready to order the ride, if uberX is not available, just tap on the Plus, Black, or SUV if you really need to be there on time. Sometimes choosing the higher cost rides will assure that you get picked up. Some uberX drivers cancel on you if you are too far from them or not on surge.

So, if you are getting cancelled or can't get an uberX, then tap on Plus and order one. It costs a bit more, but rest assured you'll be picked up.

Darn, I had a ride to Lawndale at 2:30am and then did a couple of Torrance rides. I could have hung around for an LAX trip, but it got slow and I headed home.

 

So I am in the same boat with an early flight from LAX. I live in Highland park and need to leave around 3:15-3:30AM to LAX on Thursday 7-16-15. Anyone know if it would be too difficult to get a ride? Or should I actually just call cab?
