Do your riders get annoyed when you say that this is a no stopping and I shall drop you after turning in the side street? My rider got upset, gave me 1* but I don't want to be booked.

Should I inform Uber. Once, my rating goes below 4.5 they might block me.

Suggestions please

From my self experience. I just do it, whenever there is a free kerb on the side with no stopping sign It's ok if it is on streets i guess, some cases on city is quite fearing but i have no choice though don't do it on bus lane is my concerned. Look around if there is any ranger hiding before doing it lol
Yes, riders don't care about laws they just follow like we are taxi. Taxis just stop anywhere in middle of road and no stopping. If we don't stop riders when they say stop here, likely they'll gave us less 5*

I've been booked before for a no stopping area so what I do now is when I get to the destination I politely advise them that I cannot stop here due to risk of fines and will park around the corner. I also tell them that I'll stop the trip/fare at their intended destination and they are not being charged while I take them around the corner to a proper stopping area. They seem happy when I tell them that last part. I'd rather give up 50c - $1 than risk a $200 fine.

Yes I agree. I stop illegally many times but always make sure I am not inconveniencing any other motorists and of course I keep an eye out for council rangers with their cameras.

Derry and fields - don't do it guys. Just thank your lucky stars that you haven't been booked yet. I promise you, you are playing Russian Roulette every time you do it. There are also loads of unmarked cars just waiting to catch you out, and not just in the cbd either.
EVERYBODY LISTEN CAREFULLY - No fare and no good or bad rating is worth losing your licence for it.
Read what Azzure wrote again, that is great advice.
Best luck to all

Great advice Heisenberg. I never knew there could be ranger spies onto the no stopping zone. I know they have carry flash camera with them. I will avoid whatever i can and find safety stopping area and good idea Azzure by stopping the trip and proceed to safe stop kerb. Although it will be hard to find those spots.

This morning i said to a guy - "it's really hard in the city, i'll do my best to drop you as close as i can, but i can't risk my licence" the total champ of a pax said "no worries at all man, do what you need to do to keep yourself on the road, i don't want to have to go back to cabs " - what an awesome dude, he summed it up perfectly - i wished i could have given him 6 stars.

I talk to the people as I'm getting close in the city and say I don't know where I will be able to stop. Most of the time they are sympathetic and will jump out at a red light or say 'pull over in that loading zone'. If you bring them into the conversation they might help you solve the problem.

It is after you, what you do,50% of PAX does not care if you get penalized,25% indifferent and rest is sympathetic and care that you don't get "hurt" ...
Once,a boyfriend of the PAX made me wait for a few minutes parking on the bus stop while he was talking to his mate...after he got in,and he asked his girlfriend-"what's the rush?",I told him, that is illegal to stop and wait on the bus stop,he answered rightly that it was not him who was driving my car...;-)))))
Served me right....never again, the only things we can get is a thank you,or smile,or fine from a ranger....;-))))
