Hello ,
The other day I got this ping and ended up at this school and 3 minors came to me to give them a ride down the street !!
I asked them are you guys 18 or older , one answered : He is 18 , I told her but he is not your legal guardian , I am sorry I will have to cancel the trip because this Uber policy ! she said she always orders uber and they pick her up with no questions !
Do you guys take the risk and pick uo minors ? and most of the time to drive them 3 Kms down the road !
Does it worth the risk ? or I am being a little too much Sauce !:D

Honestly man it's come up a lot in my mind. Usually I'll do it but if anything happens I'm screwed. I once called the pax when I got to the destination(which was a school), the guy tells me on the phone that it's his kids, I ask how old and he goes "old enough".
I see way too many under 18s using uber. They have their own accounts. So not sure what to do.

I've never refused a rider for age. I assume if they can say the name on the account either they have been screened or the account holder who has been screened provided the info. Until we are required to ask for ID I am not sure what we can really do. (Unless it's completely obvious.)

I had two teens from a high school today. Simply asked their age. They were caught of guard and said 15 and 16. Told them sorry can't do it. They said but "name on account" is old enough. Sorry kids, they aren't here to ride with you. Got two immediate repings from them and ignored. Reported to uber. Against uber T&C.

Obviously they can lie on their age, but this one today was obvious.

I don't know man. I'm gonna write to uber about this and ask what's good. Too many young kids.
They'll probably say you can do it at your own discretion and abandon you and make a bigger hole in your ship when you are sinking. I wrote to Uber asking to send drivers and riders messages explaining how upfront fares work, they kept sending copy/paste messages that had nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with what I was asking. They don't even read what you write. I guess some computer does the job.

Agreed to automated computerized answer part but just wait someone from forum will ask you to prove it else they will call it BS or troll

The BEST is when you type in the address where you are supposed to, and when you send it they come back with "I will be more than happy to help, I just need more information ...

dashcam is great. But...how long is the footage kept for before recording over??

What if a passenger files a complain 1 week, 2 weeks, 2 months later??

Thinking of getting a cam but worried it would be useless if ever relied upon.
