I had someone order a Pool ride from Phoenixville to Philadelphia in the middle of the night. First time, I cancelled no show. Saw the destination was Center City so I waited for the re request. The passenger finally came out and I told him to request again. He first asked if he could pay me $20 cash to go to Philly. I laughed at him. Then he upped it to $40. Nope. I had him request it on the app and he said it was $43.
Little does he know that I actually would get more than what he pays Uber because I go the long way, especially on the Pool rides, and I don't pick up other people unless the first passenger is a surge. I went via the Blue route.
I got on his good side by telling him how to get the cancel fee refunded automatically.

Wtf... YOU should take YOUR meds. I'm stealing bc I'm only accepting long distance trips? How does that work? Most people don't even like LD trips, it seems.

Second, if I live at 19th and market and the driver jumps off 76 from phoenixville to get onto 476->95, im gonna be pissed. Why wouldn't I be?!?! That's a bullshit move that's adding 20 minutes! I do JUST FINE adding distance, but I also don't do it when it's unreasonable bc I'm NOT an asshole.

When you extend the trip a ridiculous amount, not only are you stealing like 20+ minutes from pax, but uber will also adjust the upfront charge later on. So, yeah, you're stealing money from pax AND their time.

Those rides I'm not accepting go to other drivers, so I'm not stealing from other drivers... it's so dumb how you care about my acceptance rate. It doesn't hurt anyone. I average $60 a trip and do like 10 trips a week. I'm sure you make much more than me. Why do you give a damn? I'm basically part time on call. Who cares?!??

Oh, and apparently you don't know what 1% means. I have to weed through 99 trips before accepting 1, not 50.

It actually only adds eight minutes to take the blue route. Plus it's Uber Pool. I go with the impression that the rider doesn't care about when they get there if they choose Pool.

I have gotten good at figuring out what cases Uber will adjust the fare when I take the long way. With my knowledge, I am crushing it like someone good at poker crushes it at the tables.
The real problem here is the cheapskate who wants to get to Philly from Phoenixville for only $20! Then upped it to $40 to save $3.

My question is how is your acceptance rate so low? Doesn't uber put you in a time out after you let 3 or so pings go by? If you are only waiting for LD trips their must be days you don't even get a ride? I am just curious.

Thats what i dont understand,, i would have 85%+ acc. after a few pass . i would have 2 wait sometimes 5 mins...i am done with this tread . because its a simple tread.
drivers go longer to get fare pay..kinda normal in these times..
and one guy has 1% acc. rate that i feel is really horrible. but he thinks it hurts no one. but it does. because if his next ping is to darby..he lets it pass and someone else gets all his sloppy seconds.
you win hans u are doing the proper thing. no more from me. its a 2k week for me starting tues. i will stay away from this b.s
