Hello everybody,
I'm a local driver here in the Los Angeles County. I recently reviewed one of my Pool trips and noticed something odd. The individual passengers were undercharged based on the distance and time of the trip.
UberPOOL rates in the area are:
$0.85/ miles
$0.11/ minute
The ride went like this:
Pax #1
Picked up at - 6:50PM with 10,152 miles on the odometer (1.5x Boost)
8 minutes later I receive the request for Pax #2
Pax #2
Picked up at - 7:07PM with 10,158 miles on the odometer (1.5x Boost)
Request for Pax #3 came right after pickup of Pax #2
Pax #3
Picked up at 7:12PM with 10,159 miles on the odometer (1.1x Boost)
I received no other requests after picking up Pax #3 and continued to the first destination (Pax #3s)
Drop Offs:
Pax #3
Dropped off at 7:35PM with 10,169 miles on the odometer
Pax #1
Dropped off at 7:40PM with 10,170 miles on the odometer
Pax #2
Dropped off at 7:54PM with 10,175 miles on the odometer
Now the total time and distance traveled is correct on my partner dashboard. The individual passengers within the ride don't display the correct time or distance.
Why is this?
For instance, Pax #1 was in the car from 6:50PM to 7:40PM (50 minutes) with a total of 17 miles traveled.
Pax #2 was in the car from 7:07PM to 7:54PM (47 minutes) with a total of 17 miles traveled.
Pax #3 was in the car from 7:12PM to 7:35PM (23 minutes) with a total of 10 miles traveled.
How Uber has calculated it:
Pax #1
26:17 duration
10.00 mile distance
Pax #2
25:41 duration
9.32 mile distance
Pax #3
7:49 duration
3.24 mile distance
(I successfully had this fare adjusted as it was blatantly incorrect).
Am I miscalculating something? Although the entire Pool trip has been logged by Uber correctly in terms of distance and time, I feel the individual passengers were not logged correctly.
Pax #3 had a blatant miscalculation and so they adjusted it accordingly without much effort.
Pax #1 and Pax #2 aren't as willing. Uber is adamant about adjusting these fares as they seem to feel they're correct.
I log EVERY trip by time and miles and I know I didn't log anything incorrectly.
I feel as if the distance for Pax#1 and Pax #2 haven't been accounted for correctly.
I hope I can get some help from some of you as Uber support seems to only be capable of CUT & PASTE.
