At closing time the workers take the unpicked up food with them, likely had their friends place the order knowing near closing time that it wasn't going to be delivered.

Now you know why Uber is stealing our tips, they are losing their shirts on UberEats

These fast food scammers don't even have to be that clever.

In some FF places I walk in and grab my order sitting on a shelf without anyone even seeing or saying anything to me. Luckily for them my conscious won't allow me to take someone else's food, and in those instances I double check to make sure I'm grabbing the right one for my customer.

Until they start arresting folks for petty theft. Oh wait, that won't happen because nowadays you can steal like $950 and no one will prosecute.
With the current inflation they're going to raise the threshold to $1,500.

I'm kidding of course, but I'll bet there are a few brain dead mayors out there considering it.

Monday night i picked up a young women who was working the closing shift at wendy's. My "tip" was a sack full of wendy's burgers (just the burgers mind you) from orders than came in the last hour and werent picked up.

I had a couple and did a run past the hobo camp outside the homeless shelter and handed the rest out.
