It just hit me last night: There is no way I can make my Express Drive bonus with the new "peak hour" system. That means about 30% of my check is going in the dumper if I fail to get even the minimal 40 peak rides per week.

I am officially complaining to Lyft today aboyt the new system, but if they do not listen, I suggest that we consider doing a protest in front of ANY offices they have where we live, or even just Facebook Live a protest, using signs or even bullhorns, on a certain day. Wherever you live! Take plenty of pictures and post them ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA. Embarrass Lyft for trying to treat us like we are their employees - we are NOT!

Fuchk "peak hours". Fuchk their $2500 deductible. Fuchk their "no weapons=no driver safety" policy. We can't just sit back and let them run roughshod over us!

Based on this, now I'm wondering if it's possible for drivers to meet their weekly paycheck goals and not commit to AGH?

My protest to ridiculous peak hours.

Guess what date they changed them in my market based on ridecounts:

My FUBER file looks like your Lyft 1 per month though.

Just move on, you are 6 weeks on the forum and probably driving for Lyft. Either way you are not vested much, whether it is your own car or a rental from Lyft. If you want to be treated as an employee apply at Home Depot or Starbucks.

This pyramid scheme -- that sells predatory payday loans -- is on its way out. They promised their investors they wouldn't lose more than $150 million a quarter in Q1 (2016). One year later, they took advantage of Uber's bad press (timing) and raised another $600 million (their total losses for 2016) on the strength that their losses were down to $100 million a quarter (Q1/2017). Hmmmmm. I haven't tried for a Power Driver Bonus in months -- like a lot of drivers -- because they made it virtually unattainable (on purpose), and guess what -- there's your $50 million dollar difference for the quarter, and that's how they made themselves look like they were becoming profitable.

This, then, means that NOTHING has changed for Lyft in the past year (4 quarters), they have not made a penny, and with driver satisfaction at an all-time low, it remains to be seen how they aren't in crisis mode, and whether or not there's any way out. They just duped their investors, and they used us to do it. This is called a pyramid scheme.

The Power Driver Bonus, at this point, is illusory; they merely keep the name around in order to entice new drivers (and perhaps some old ones who haven't driven in awhile -- and who don't know any better) in order to show contrast with Uber.

After 5,000 rides on Lyft, I've stopped taking any and all Bus Line (Lyft Line) calls -- which are a requirement for the Power Driver Bonus -- and only take Primetime calls.

ALL, PLEASE LET YOUR ACCEPTANCE RATING GO IN THE TOILET. THEY CAN NOT FIRE YOU FOR A LOW ACCEPTANCE RATING (NOT ACCEPTING CALLS), THEY CAN ONLY FIRE YOU FOR REPEATEDLY CANCELLING THEM. AGAIN, LET THE CALL ROLL TO ANOTHER DRIVER AND ANOTHER DRIVER AND ANOTHER DRIVER, THAT WAY PRIMETIME KICKS IN.

SERIOUSLY, IF LYFT'S GOING TO F*** YOU, F*** 'EM RIGHT BACK, and get PAID doing it.

In my market it use to be 65 Rides and 20 Peak Rides to get the 20% PDB now it's 95 rides with 45 Peak Hour rides and there isn't even that many peak hours available . If you want to get PDB now you have to be a late bar night driver , the day drivers are screwed . Not to mention it's no longer 20% it's $160 which is a joke. The weeks I did 90-110 rides on Lyft my bonus was never under $200

This is Lyft's reply...

"I'm sorry to hear that you are frustrated about your Peak Hours, I understand that everyone isn't always available during the busiest times of day (which Peak Hours are designed to carter too)

Peak Hours are just in place just for certain incentives (such as the Power Drive Bonus) this is just to ensure that the demand of our customers are met and the drivers we partner with are compensated for the rides they do. However, Peak Hours are not a qualification for every bonus that Lyft offers so try exploring some of those options to receive extra cash, fast.

I'm sure that there's some way for you not to have to drive during Peak Hours in your region to still be eligible for many of our other bonuses such as;
-Average Hourly Guarantees
-Weekly Guarantees
-Referring New Drivers
and many more

If you have any more questions or concerns feel free to let me know and I'll get back with you!"

When I first started it was so easy to get PDB , I mean 25-30 hours and I could have all the requirements met easily . I guess it was only a matter of time before they realized they couldn't make money off of 0% commission and just getting the $2 fee on each ride . Without getting rid of PDB all together they are just making it much more difficult .

I guess I'm slow. I do not get the point of your post.

Completed mine last night. The Peak Ride View attachment 116456 hours change periodically and supposedly from driver to driver. It can still be done. Definitely not for the faint of heart though.
If one is available to drive in peak hours, that's great. But I can usually only drive after about 8pm. My wife needs to be home to watch the kids.

I had the same problem when the Peak Rides offered to me where primarily morning and mid day hours. And those were the times I couldn't drive so I never even worked towards the bonus. But once I was offered afternoon and late night PR hours it was lights out. Hopefully the same happens to you and it becomes easier for you to complete the requirements.

Ragequit in protest/take break/laze about play guitar ---- enough people do that surge climbs back to juicy-ridonculous levels, and/or lyft reformulated the surge suppression promos to something a lil more palatable

Yup doing same thing. I will not be buying any beer except the super cheap cans,at Trader Joe's and I buy cans of beans for dinner or one meal only to cut back but I'm not doing their stupid quota. When quota was 80 rides with no prime time I was meeting quota and exceding it. One week I did 116 rides. Now I'm averaging 33 week. Feeling greedy lyft?
