If prices were £4 per mile, you could afford to sit at charging bays. With the current fare prices I don't think it's viable, plus when you are working in PH, the days are never the same in terms of mileage covered.

Thank you all!
I didn't think it would be payable to do it with Uber, but I heard about some companies who work only with cooperative clients, so i assume money is good there?

I applied for finances for Tesla with joinzero, they provide you with high paid jobs. I'm not sure if I qualify, but we will see when they contact me back. Did someone of you applied for it/got it?

I never heard of that, let us know how you get on.
If it's Tesla on UberX, that's taking it to another level, anyone that does it will need to have an extended brain cell attached to their head - permanent helmet sort of thing, so we can spot them walking down the road.

I don't think they are part of Uber. They say "Drive for Uber, OR JoinZero's exclusive electric-only executive chauffeur business" so I assume we can work for them and UberX. If we would get £4.20 per mile then it is payable
Do you know how much it is to have H&R insurance on a Tesla? - Does anyone in the forum know? - it would be nice to know.

The headline "Become our driver" absolutely spot on because you'll never earn the money to pay off the Tesla mortgage...
World's stupidest idea buy a 50k tesla to do uber jobs

BTW how much electricity cost to charge it it should also counts even if it's £2 per day

I would wait for the Tesla3. A little under £30K with 240 mile range it will be the minicab car of choice in my opinion. These other electric cars simply don't have the range right now and we need a lot more (working!) charging points.

Basic mathematics: if I spend £30-40 a day in petrol driving a Prius( living outside London) why is stupid to get a Tesla and pay £600-£700 a month for it? It is about the same thing plus after 5 years the car is yours.
