I've been gathering alot of information about Uber overcharging the rider, and not paying drivers 75%-70% of the rightly earned money. My contracts says, that I get 75% and Uber gets 25%.

Why has Uber fallen into price gouging riders? Doesnt Uber care about the ride experience anymore? Seriously, does the inflated rates compromise our ratings? I believe it does.

Even if we are content on just being paid as we already do; how about the victim in the backseat? We have laws in my state about price gouging. This subject usually happens when a natural disaster takes place, but now Uber's disaster is the same.

Does not Uber know this about price gouging?

I don't know about Tennessee, but in Los Angeles, we, the drivers, agreed in our TOS to be payed a set rate of 80/75% of the actual MILEAGE and TIME + base fare (if applicable) + boost or surge rate (of the higher, if applicable). If we did not agree to the TOS, we were not allowed to receive ride requests.

The key wording is MILEAGE and TIME, not pax's Gross (Upfront) Fare - Booking Fee.

The problem is that pax are ACCEPTING the Upfront Fare without question.
