of course you would return it back. it isn't yours to keep. I think you can't charge them for it which pisses u off. but if they offer then u don't say no.....

alternatively if they don't mention money then tell them to come to your neck of the woods at a time it suits you. when you say that they normally say "Oh I'll pay u if u drop it off"

bobs your uncle then

Just leave it on the street, or bin it. Best is not to get involved, sometimes pax try to be clever and will put you into more trouble if you deliver or let them collect from you. Also some are so nasty that may try to blame driver that he has the phone or wallet and doesn't want to return it.
Check the car after every dropp off where possible, if you find something just put it next to the car and drive off. Pax must be more careful next time, and more humane and respectful to the driver, and uber should organise a lost property department like add Lee so idiots can go and look for their belongings. Until all those happen lost property is lost

Hey guys,
If pax leaves anythig in the car would your return it back? Also can we charge to return it to them? How does it work
. I take lost property very seriously and always email Uber or try to contact rider quickly.
This could be an opportunity for they driver to make Uber look great! It's a feel good moment, when the passenger reunites with their valued item. However, Uber does not show any gratitude when we do the right thing. It's like they think we make 50-60 K a year. The Passengers are sometimes generous and grateful. Other times they just say thanks and you get a warm feeling all over that you did a good deed. It's all just another day in the life of an Uber driver.

I once returned an iPhone 6 looked brand new. I blatantly asked for a tip which I got £10.

the next day the b**ch complained to uber and uber text me and said you are not allowed to take cash off customers.

i should have kept it and let her realise in the morning and then made her travel half way round london to pick it up from where I live.

some times kind heartedness doesn't get u no where

Uber policy is for you to bring it to them on your dime as part of the uber experience..

Rules in my car where take you shit with you, if I see your shit and still see you I'll honk and try to get your attention maybe even send a text. if I don't get a reply before the next ping it goes in the trunk and is promptly dropped off at the police station or uber office next time I go by one and a drop off receipt is collected.

I won't be bringing shit back to people for free.. It ain't free. It cost me money, and so did the uber ride that lead to the problem most likely.

I keep it for one day than just throw it in a bin. If the customer call me than I tell them to come and pick that up.
If they can't then I suggest them to order a uber and the other driver will collect and return it to you.
Simple and easy
