Pax injuried while entering to your car

Lady pax P....(just intitial for legal/privacy reason) bumped her finger while entering to my car this morning at Fairmount hotel. She did swear at me and got out. I had to end the trip asking Uber “do not charge rider”. 3 hours later, I received an e-mail from Uber saying my account was being held while investigating the accident. I had to fill out their form saying my side of the event. Of course I had dash cam that could hopefully save my day and week. Someone picked up the lady pax at Fairmount hotel today? If so, what was her situation? Thanks folks.

Hurt her finger while entering the car. Pissed off and got out. Of course reported to Uber. Nothing to do with me. I guess she tried take on Uber for liability reason. But my acct has been being held.

I went to Daly City Hub. They asked me the video and I had to sign the release form and gave the video to them. They confirmed it was nothing to do with me and re activated my acct. it is now Uber has to deal with her.
Be careful folks. That is true our job would be gone just one ride away. Another lesson learned. Thanks guys.

Use for Uber: BLACKVUE DR650S-2CH-IR 16GB 2 CHANNEL WI-FI DASH CAMERA WITH INTERIOR INFRA-RED LENS

Make sure interior cam must be equipped with infra red. It costs you, but it will protect you all times including overnight parking on street. Most importantly, every Uber/Lyft ride.

Hi wk1102 and dixon. You really need dash cam.

You need "car battery discharge prevention" pack and hard wired the dash cam. Otherwise you use cigarette lighter cord to run the dash cam which will be turned off if your engine is off .

Hi UberAnt39. RideShareJUNKIE is right. 2 ways to install the cam.
(a). Plug into cigarette lighter. Cam will be off when you turn off the engine and get the key off.
(b). Hard wired to battery with the kit. It will protect your battery to discharge and your cam will be on 24/7.

Hi folks. I just want to let your guys know the process after pax got injury. After filled out the the form via Uber e-mail and you will get the call from James River insurance. (Photo with company phone number on top is attached). They claimed drivers can be denied coverage depends how serious of the incident. Be extra careful while Ubering.
