Lady pax P....(just intitial for legal/privacy reason) bumped her finger while entering to my car this morning at Fairmount hotel. She did swear at me and got out. I had to end the trip asking Uber “do not charge rider”. 3 hours later, I received an e-mail from Uber saying my account was being held while investigating the accident. I had to fill out their form saying my side of the event. Of course I had dash cam that could hopefully save my day and week. Someone picked up the lady pax at Fairmount hotel today? If so, what was her situation? Thanks folks.

Hurt her finger while entering the car. Pissed off and got out. Of course reported to Uber. Nothing to do with me. I guess she tried take on Uber for liability reason. But my acct has been being held.

I had a very similar saturation before, but I didn't got held of my account, I think and I hope you should be fine. Next time anything happens always report to uber first. Angry pax, potential compliant ,any argument, I think that would help to report before the pax do it.

I had a woman slip of a curb and hit her face on the edge of my door. I wound up taking her and her group to the ER. She ended up needing a plastic surgeon and getting around 200 stitches. It cut her from her scalp to her chin...

I reported it to Uber who in turn suspended my account, had me fill out an accident report and take pictures of my car.

I received a call right away from uber and was back online after I submitted pics.

I suggest you take pictures now, all four sides and make it a collage so you only have to submit one picture.

Man, I had forgotten about that, how the hell does that happen?

Maybe my brain blocked blocked it out to protect me. I think I'll go with that.

I went to Daly City Hub. They asked me the video and I had to sign the release form and gave the video to them. They confirmed it was nothing to do with me and re activated my acct. it is now Uber has to deal with her.
Be careful folks. That is true our job would be gone just one ride away. Another lesson learned. Thanks guys.

Make sure interior cam must be equipped with infra red. It costs you, but it will protect you all times including overnight parking on street. Most importantly, every Uber/Lyft ride.

You need "car battery discharge prevention" pack and hard wired the dash cam. Otherwise you use cigarette lighter cord to run the dash cam which will be turned off if your engine is off .

His is hardwired to the battery with a kit you can buy wherever you purchase your dashcam or amazon so it has a constant +12v source for power without over draining your battery and protecting the cam from electrical surges etc.

(a). Plug into cigarette lighter. Cam will be off when you turn off the engine and get the key off.
(b). Hard wired to battery with the kit. It will protect your battery to discharge and your cam will be on 24/7.

What do you mean ? Was he referring to the cap on coverage ? The cap is for us the drivers, the riders / other people get that famous 1 million $$$ coverage.

Hopefully personal health coverage helps with the cap , we can only hope lol
