When I was at the uber office there were 5 people before me getting new cars for uber. 4 people after me were probably doing the same thing. It's not a lack of riders last night, it was too many drivers.

Many people were gone as well. We spent the last 2 weeks in the Atlantic and believe me PEI, NB, NS, Quebec and even the Magdelen Islands were flooded with Ontario plates.

27.3 Million people watched the opening ceremonies the lowest number in 24 years it is fore casted to be the lowest watched Olympics since the 80's. The London Olympics were some of the best summer Olympics in years and it had a total of 271 million viewers so you are only 3/4 of a billion off.

I've never seen a business care so little for their employees before that lasts, like even delivery drivers get a wage while they wait so if it is a really slow night you make some money.

Why would Uber do that? They get their cut regardless, so there's no incentive for them to lower the driver numbers. With the economy muddling along at best, expect to see even more drivers on the road.
