Oh boy .This is a legal nightmare for you /operating Illegally. I hope you had public liability insurance of your own.
Legal nightmare? How do you figure that? Sounds like the person fell and broke their arm before even reaching the car.

The only insurance in play here is the pax's personal health insurance and IP insurance if they have any.

Unless you have separate public liability insurance for rideshare. Which does not exist pax can sue you .Not trying to scare you stating fact as someone who has worked in transport for 34 years. I hope uber look after your pax but be prepared for a insurance investigation

The pax can sue him for what? Not opening the car door and carefully guiding him into the car seat? The bloke was probably drunk and his friends would have witnessed him falling over by himself/herself. The pax would have to a pretty morally bankrupt individual to want to take legal action against UBER or the driver for his own inability to enter a car.

In the legal "NO WIN - NO PAY" enviroment it's easy for the PAX to try to top up his savings account.

If the injured PAX name was published in the newspapers, or social media, I can assure you that the PAX would receive an invite to sue from the lawyers.

It's a billion dollar business. I know of tow-truck drivers who recieve a finder fee for providing information to lawyers so that the lawyers can try to contact the owners/pax to sue for damages.

What will be will be. Just to clear on thing up you can get PL/PI insurance for rideshare. If your platform is not currently accredited you just need them named on the policy as being accepted by the insurer.

over the yearsthere have been only a few insurers willing to provide public liability policies for passenger transport. Which company will provide it for ride share drivers?
