I was at The Venetian waiting on my pax, After 6minutes I cancelled the trip. As soon as I cancelled the trip a tall guy wearing black short and black shirt shaved head with facial hair kind of ISIS looking showed up and banged passenger side of my window 3times.....he also tried to open my car doors. My doors were locked. windows all the way rolled up. On my left I have my hand gun loaded hide away from public view I could touch it if I wanted it....this thing took place about 1PM..that guy walked away from my car I didn't say anything to him nothing at all. People lock you doors. Roll up all your windows. If you cancelled the trip drive away from the area and also turn off your app....if pax tried to talk to you or stop you do not respond to them just keep on moving, . .....do not answer for calls.I stayed there b/c I had my gun with me. some people will pick a fight with you for $3.75. or try to do damage to your car.

I'm pretty sure I drove this guy and 2 girls they were Indian seemed pretty nice. I dropped them at Venetian didn't say much to them other then hi and have a nice day though
That guy called me and left me a voice message after I cancelled his trip for no show and he was charged $5 "he said come and pick up your balls". After I cancelled his trip I got to see where he was going....I looked it up his final destination and it was car rental the one that is located on airport property and if you rent a car from there they would charge you $4.15 ....me and uber just charged $5 this ISIS dude or wanna be probably pimp his sisters in Vegas ......for few $100's bucks a night.LOL .I contacted uber via "help" and told uber people not to match me with that rider again and they agree.

Thank you Uberx Vegas for renewing my love and passion for the greatest American Poet to ever live: Edgar Allen Poe. After reading this thread I was instantly reminded of "The Raven". (except that whole part about the concealed loaded firearm. Poe would have suggested a bloody hatchet or other macabre end.) Please enjoy the beginning of "The Raven" with me... and if you ever get passengers from a EAP poem, run like Hell.

“Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —
Only this, and nothing more."

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; — vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow — sorrow for the lost Lenore —
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore —
Nameless here for evermore.

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me — filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,
Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door —
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; —
This it is, and nothing more."

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you"— here I opened wide the door; —
Darkness there, and nothing more.

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Robert Frost

I just had this happen at Aria. I waited an extra 5 cuz he called saying he was coming but I don't wait past 10 for anyone. It clogs up the loading areas and gives me a bad rep. Anyway, he got cancelled then shows up 20 sec later out of nowhere banging and saying his phone was dead and he needed my charger so he could request the next ride. Lol I almost felt bad. Maybe he learned his lesson.

Was he carrying an Ak-47 or a large sword? I mean what exactly makes someone look like Isis? Lame. This post says SO much about who you are.

How can anyone take your advice serious, you drive around with a loaded gun? That's bad judgment in itself.
Next time drive off before you cancel. Then go offline so you can't be requested again till you get out of the area.
Really. I feel sorry for this poor tortured soul that he goes through life so afraid of his own kind (meaning a fellow human being) that he has to flee the scene if he's not in possession of a tool that can bring instant death, lest they tap three times upon his driver's side window. How weak and pathetic this person is.

My advice to Uberx Vegas: go to the gym dude. You might feel a little better about yourself. Here's an ironic truth. Learn to fight and you never have to. But for the love of humanity, leave the gun at home. You're way too scared.

Quack quack (in agreement)

With Uber, we have the option to drive away if we're scared or feel uncomfortable. According to the OP, this was in front of the Venetian at 1pm. What exactly is there to be afraid about? If he is too scared to pick up people requesting a ride, then I'm pretty confident that he's in the wrong line of work. If he's judging people based solely on their looks, then I'm pretty sure he's in the wrong line of work. Lastly, if he just sits there for 6 mins then cancels without even trying to call the PAX, then I'm pretty sure he's in the wrong line of work.

We don't pick up in front of the Venetian. Mall Valet is the pickup point.

Wow. So you keep a gun at reach for those ISIS looking types that come to Vegas. Vegas must be a magnet.

But why a gun? Instead, just keep a sharp pencil in your cup holder like I do -that way, you could just stab them on the neck. It's much more reasonable than a gun, I think.

A gun, now that's just nuts.
