Im not sure but can you claim Parking fees as a business deduction when filling in your ATO tax returns?

I have claimed back expenses such as: Fuel, Car Washes, 1300 business number and travelling fees to get to and from work.

I also have a business website that i invest about $350 a week, I forgot to claim that back in my returns.

To any body doing their tax returns, I suggest you claim back any purchases for UBER, even small things such as : lollies, water etc

I pickup discarded tickets and use them as my receipts. I hope your claiming waters, lollies, tissues, magazines you put in the car?

dw all the multi billion dollars companies don't pay any tax  All been the key word.
The number 1 thing drivers should be complaining about is paying GST, for those earning less than 75k/yr.

Look at this, companies making billions in revenue and paying zero tax. Unbelievable!

Australia's economy is being run so poorly by Govts, so much wasteful spending, poor projects and not being able to get on top of issues that are significant.

The big companies are the government of our governments , they donate monies to the major political parties otherwise there will be no parties. If the companies started paying taxes , we 'll be the one who copping it at the end with huge increase in car prices to pay for their taxes

Do u believe that in a country like Australia, corruption is at such a high level that it effects tax legislation?

So by your argument your suggesting that so many industries shouldn't have to pay tax because it will increase the price for consumers.

Companies are doing the right thing and they will do anything they can get away with. It not up to the company to give away money if they can keep money for themselves it is up to the government and to make the laws in which they pay tax  Right now how they are avoiding tax is by writing all the profits offshore in tax havens and charging all the expenses in Australia which comes out as zero.

That how it done and if the government disallowed that than they would have to pay taxes. But it allows money to be laundered out of Australia so it just bleeds the economy since all the revenue is leaving Australia and all the Australians are doing is spending $$$$$$$ that isn't been invested back into the country.

ATO can't do anything because they are following the current taxation law just that the Australian taxation laws are about a hundred years outdated  Rest of the world laughs and mock our relaxed medieval tax laws and it is essentially yes a tax haven if you can afford the accountants that setup these systems that move money overseas instead of paying the tax man ;)

So what does the ATO do to make up the difference? They crack onto the lowest paid and poorest of poor people in society for the $$$. Truly like we are back in the the year 700-800 AD :oops: The lords that rule over us that get off Scot free but the common plebs bears the burden of the country like peasants :D Whip the peasants and make them pay 45-80% tax. The lords have to be served!:p

I've been using half the tactics myself those multi million dollar salary accountants use and have to say quite effective  Not to mention... 100% legal ;)

I have done my part in this forum of educating the uneducated though I give myself a break and chill out . The answer to question is that we were never free in the first place . It's only an illusion that they make you think you are free in a country like Australia. We got owners they own everything . Listen to gorge Carlin
