I was about to go out and drive tonight and It`s a good thing I checked the riders app. Norwich CT is flooded with UBER Drivers tonight because of the Barrett - Jackson Event at Mohegan Sun...UBER has been advertising like crazy on ION channel and Craigs List for new drivers and now theirs way to many for such a small area...8:40 pm on a Thursday night there was like 9 drivers in Norwich alone, normally theirs like 3-4 ...look at the screen shot and see.

Your problem is, not thinking outside of the box. We're independent contactors. Think of it like owning a franchise restaurant. You're competing with every other restaurant in the area. Would you open your franchise next to 10 other restaurants? Uber is going to suggest areas to work, everyone jumps on it and no one makes money. The guarantees are structured so they're hard to earn. You're either going to make more than the rate once they calculate your earnings, or it will be so flooded that you won't meet the requirements. This is a big event. People won't be arriving or leaving the casino at the same time. Some people will be staying at the casino, or area hotels using the shuttle. Not everyone will be drinking, so they'll be taking they're own cars. Ask any of the drivers that work or have worked at Quinnipiac college. It's the busiet college for Uber, but so many drivers pile up on Hogan Rd and end up giving each other the death stare. My advice, try it out. If you see an over load of angry drivers and no one is moving then get out of there. Thanks to these guarantees, they'll be plenty of areas with less coverage to rake in the money.

Thanks for the advice, this is my first time accepting the guarantee thing and just curious how it works out, I have a bit of an advantage because I used to work at MS for 13 years and I know the hot spots and the property well, so I'll try it once and if it works out cool, if not live and learn...anyways thanks for the input and advice and I can always head to New London if it's to saturated at MS
