Look I'm really sorry that she lost her ashes BUT let's say she just won the Powerball and the winning ticket was in the bag. I'm sure this would not have happened. Woman passenger has her priorities wrong. People have left phones, cigarette lighters, shoes, keys, pens, documents in my car

Dina Miller the only real question is.... how much of a gratuity did you leave Juan for dropping you off in your house after Juan waited hours in the queue waiting on your trip request ?

Exactly. You leave a LV bag in the car, probably don't say a word to the driver and get out and don't even make an attempt to give the driver atleast a dollar...
Yea it's pretty sh!tt¥ isn't it?

Juan being entitled doesn't mean Juan is entitled to do anything illegal.

If Juan found the bag, that's stealing, and that's illegal.
Can you please explain what you mean by this?

I would like to give you the benefit of doubt that this isn't as stupid as it sounds lol

A rider leaves a bag in Juan's car and now Juan is a thief?

The law is if you find something you have to make an attempt to return it otherwise that's stealing.
I really don't know how some of you make it this far in life lol again I want to give you the benefit of doubt but realize its getting worse lol

Out of curiosity do you consider yourself very religous?

Florida law states:
"By law you are required to turn it over to police," Sgt. Carla Kmiotek, spokeswoman for Coral Springs police, said of lost items. "Any person who appropriates lost or abandoned property for their own use, you're guilty of theft.

That's theft as in a felony, punishable by five to 30 years, depending on the item's value.

Yeah!
Furthermore, that statement I quoted is NOT entirely correct.
If in case you find something that is of value in a trash can that is deemed "abandonment" thus it does not fall under this law. It becomes yours.

Pretty sure if I had video evidence of someone one finding something not returning it, made a citizens arrest and went to the police to turn that person in, they would taser me in the face and then Baker act me lol

What Law is this, doing what is the "right thing" or not does not make it the law. Please explain what law your talking about...
Being passed by the legislature and signed into law by the executive branch makes it law. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes...ute&URL=0700-0799/0705/Sections/0705.103.html

You can doubt or you can actually do some research yourself and find out that it's law. There are cases of drivers being arrested for not attempting to return lost property.
