Because I tend to get a lot of repeat passenger I will 4 star most who don't tip unless I know they don't live in the area in which case they will get three stars if they were okay but didn't tip and it goes down from there.
Since most passengers don't tip and I see the same people more than once I don't want to limit my possibilities of getting a request when it's slow. And where I work it slow a hell of a lot.

I 4* anyone who doesn't tip on Lyft. I give it a little time or wait until I'm done for the day to hit them. But if it's a Saturday night and you own a million dollar home, I'm hitting you worse on principle. Cheap SOB's.

Lyft is terrible. Their reported market share is absolute BS at least in NJ. Almost every ride sends me to a trash city/town and it seems only people who live in poor areas use Lyft. Delayed ratings don't mean much when the quality of the rides suck.

That cheap sob is someone I'm likely to see again and who might even order XL when they feel they need it.
Since most of our passengers don't tip anyway I don't want to throw away someone who otherwise is well behaved with their only flaw being that they don't tip.
