Ola is committed to create a high-quality travel experience and is excited to benefit Canberra community by extending and providing a meaningful service.

At Ola, we believe in delivering the best ride experience to our customers and you are a key part of that experience. Please find below the sequence of steps to accept or pass a booking request.

1. Booking Request comes to your home screen

2. Click on the 'Accept'' button to accept the request or the 'Pass' button to reject the booking before the timer expires.

3. Not clicking either 'Accept'' or 'Pass' before the timer expires will pass the booking request to the next available driver and takes you back to your home screen.

This will provide you with more control of which bookings you wish to accept and ensure you are partnering with Ola on your terms.

Ola media release (https://www.olacabs.com/media/press...erra-to-provide-the-best-rideshare-experience):

Ola enters Brisbane, Gold Coast and Canberra to provide the best rideshare experience
  • 30,000 driver-partners across Australia have registered themselves on the Ola platform within just 3 months of launch
  • 6 major metropolitan cities now have a credible rideshare alternative; more cities on track
Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra - May 22, 2018: Following successful launches in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, Ola, one of the world's largest ride sharing platforms, is now available in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Canberra.

To celebrate its launch in these cities Ola is offering discounted rides from today. Customers can download the Ola app either from Google Play or iOS App Store, register for an Ola account and begin booking rides.

Now operating across 6 major metropolitan cities, Ola continues to receive feedback from customers to understand their needs and enhance their rideshare experience. This includes regular updates to the Ola app to improve customer experience, lower estimated time of arrival (ETA), strengthening the local support team and providing new promotions.

The service has received a strong response from driver-partners with over 30,000 driver-partners registered Australia-wide. Ola welcomes driver-partners to sign up and reap the benefits of a market low 7.5% introductory commission rate and daily payments.

Ola will continue to build trust with its driver-partners by offering higher earnings and a range of initiatives including Community Town Halls, the first of which took place in Perth in April, attended by over 100 driver-partners. The next event is scheduled for Sydney in the coming weeks, with similar events to be planned for all cities as part of Ola's commitment to having a driver-partner focussed approach to ride-sharing.

Chandra Nath, Vice President, Head of International, Ola said, "As we continue to expand across Australia, we have seen that customers and driver-partners are choosing Ola over competitors for the best rideshare experience possible. By doing so, everyone is choosing an affordable and better way to move."

Over the coming months, Ola is working with local stakeholders to continue its rollout in Australia, with future launch cities including Adelaide, Darwin and Hobart. More details on new cities will be shared in the near future.
