My vehicle is a 2012 Nissan Rogue Crossover SUV.

Earlier today 4 overweight women entered my car for a 10 minute ride. Each were well over 200 pounds and I weigh 190.

3 of them literally squeezed in the back of the car and one rode shotgun. Immediately I noticed a loud grinding sound when I braked the first time which wasnt there prior to their entry.

After they exited the grinding sound continued when I braked. So I stopped doing rides until my mechanic takes a look.

Do I report this to Uber? Is there any recourse?

Oversized suitcases are not a class protected from discrimination. Neither are obese pax.

Absolutely not. Nothing good will come from it. They will likely put your account on hold until you can prove they were fixed. Don't cause yourself more work than it already is.

It's not like Uber will compensate you for it. The issue is likely your brake pads/shoes (whichever your's is). Brakes are a routine maintenance issue that falls on the driver everytime unless you can prove that some how the pax did direct damage.

Same thing happened to me with 4 dudes coming down a steep mountain road. Load didn't cause the issue, just made it apparent.

Brakes are cheap and easy to DIY. Look into it.
