This also has been posted under LA/OC forums but I wanted to make sure everyone sees it. Obama mentions Uber at the White House Summit On Worker Voice and I don't think it's a coincidence - coworker.org have a couple of campaings and I believe they contacted Abe in regards to submitting his question to Obama during the Summit.
From Reuters:
Obama cited companies like Lyft and Uber [UBER.UL], ride-sharing services, and Handy and TaskRabbit, which help users outsource housekeeping and chores, as innovators that help increase workers' flexibility and autonomy.

But he cautioned that such companies, which are not unionized, could also be detrimental to workers.

"If the combination of globalization and automation undermines the capacity of the ordinary worker and the ordinary family to be able to support themselves ... then we're going to have problems," he said.

So Uber was a tool all along to progress the socialist agenda, and Travis is being played. Like I've been saying, they're all connected, working together to make government bigger. I mean, the former strategist for Obama's campaign, David Plouffe, is now the head of communications at Uber.

To prove my theory right, guaranteed you'll see Travis agreeing and aligning with whatever rhetoric comes from his socialist masters, and our situation will NOT improve. Then you'll know Uber was one huge ploy on the citizens of the world.

Left wing, right wing. They're both on the same chicken. Both sides have agendas on how to make people stupid rich on the backs of those that do the work.

Hmm, here's a healthy dose of irony:
Uber squeezes us by cutting fares and cost to maximize profit. Many drivers in turn squeezes pax by cutting water, mints, AC, to maximize profit. I wonder how many drivers are now ready to accept that this is the reality of "trickle down"...unregulated capitalism at its finest, and the way to fight it is to get organized. Sounds familiar?

sounds like Uber was never better than taxis simply because they made an app.
