Now we have to take service dogs or be deactivated if complaint

Settlement today. Is this only blind people or service dogs for any disability?

People buy the service dog vest and patches on eBay so they can take their dog everywhere. People even buy this for pitbulls and are not service dogs. It's against the law to ask for proof or the disibility.

Really?!? in this country if you don't understand or didn't know about a law and you break it you still guilty.
The question isn't whether you know the law. The question is if a patron lies to you that's it's a service dog and the task it's trained to do. Not talking ESA. How are you held liable when the law clearly states you must rely on the owners answer. Again how could you be shut down for violating health code?
I lie to you and tell you this bag of powder, is flour I want you to deliver to my poor aunt Rita. You tell the cops, but he told me it was flour! who do you think goes to jail?

No joke
My dogs eat & live better than I ever had

My wife feeds me the left over from the dogs I swear !!

Example Roticery Chicken
Dogs :skinless boneless all breast meat
Me : leg, thigh ,wing ,
How nice that she loves you and doesn't feed you boneless skinless soulless chicken breast. I always get thighs. Ok who am I kidding. I eat the same thing every day. Whatever's on sale! But the thighs are usually on sale and that's the best part. That and the oyster.

In my house the oysters are reserved for whoever cooked and carved the bird. In other words, me. I know it's supposed to be attached to the thigh but I can never get it in one piece. So I use the index finger and thumb method of extraction. And we agree on the mmmmmmmm.

I'm legally blind, and as an uber driver, I think it's important to pick up service animals. I always pick up service animals. My service dog has a special bark so I know they are there. I'm not sure what my rating is cause I can't see it.

Nicely stated. Thank you.

Unfortunately if it is a service dog who messes up the car, the driver cannot claim any cleaning fees. If it destroys the car, they can recover costs. or at least in Colorado they can. The law clearly states owners of service dogs are liable for any damages by the dog. But not for cleaning fees.

Re your comment on smokers, you accept them but you don't let them smoke in your car do you? You just have to tolerate their smell.
Yeah no way I let anyone smoke or vape. But I can't tell the 3rd hand smoke until.its too late.

The ADA on hotels etc says that they can't charge a cleaning fee like they normally tack on for a pet. But if the service animal does something above and beyond the "normal" cleaning the owner can be charged. For instance, if a hotel normally charges an extra $50 to clean a room that a dog stayed in they cannot charge that $50 for a service dog. However if they charge an extra $250 on top of the regular cleaning fee if a pet sh*** on the floor they can also charge a service dog's owner for that.

You're not REQUIRED to take it because you're told it's flour. You ARE required to take a dog you're told is a service dog.

What do you mean "now"? You have always been required to take them.

Vests etc are not needed. So having them or not is beside the point.

There ARE pit bull service dogs by the way.

YES THERE ARE!!!
I have had lots of passengers with dogs, and NEVER have the dogs been dirty. The breed should not matter either.

What if you (an Uber driver) have a disability and are allergic to animals? Then we shouldn't have to take them right because I already have to carry Epi pens so their disability shouldn't trump mine and cause any future deactivation.
