W hat does that do the rider app doesnt?Well, **** us. Look what the pax can do... View attachment 12926
So now the pax can can dodge a surge with the help of this little bitty app. Who knew?
It tells them where the surge begins and ends and where they can walk to get out of a surge zone. I don't know what else but obviously it tells them something the rider app doesn't because they're using it.W hat does that do the rider app doesnt?
Yeah I would love it if they chase the NON surge and it bites them in the ass the same way chasing a surge does drivers.I checked out Google Play and there are several similar apps. I hope the users walk ten blocks from a 1.5 surge zone only to find themselves in a 2.8 surge zone.
I found one review for a different app that said that Sidecar drivers use it to find out where the Uber surges are.
Does that matter for us? They aren't in Houston.I checked out Google Play and there are several similar apps. I hope the users walk ten blocks from a 1.5 surge zone only to find themselves in a 2.8 surge zone.

Where is the APP that tells the drivers how to avoid the assholes and minimum fares?Well, **** us. Look what the pax can do... View attachment 12926

Million dollar idea right thereWhere is the APP that tells the drivers how to avoid the assholes and minimum fares?

Most that would try to get a cheaper ride from a non surge close spot will simply move the pin and call with the correct spot. Some idiot newbie will eventually take it and pick them up. Many new drivers don't even know how surge works and assume trips from the surge area are always surge.
Let them. I've been in middle of surge zone and got request outside of surge. I don't take it. Someone on this forum told me accept and immediately cancel so it won't affect acceptance rate. I started doin that and it worked. Look for the lightning symbol and do what you got to. Speaking of, have they cut our rates again? Used to be on a min $5 trip i would get $3.80. Took a fair yesterday that was $5.17 and my pay was $3.34. Monitor your pay statements regularlyWell, **** us. Look what the pax can do... View attachment 12926

I downloaded the app to check it out (and to see if it can be useful as a driver) . It is interesting to me that it asks for your Uber sign in. Perhaps Uber released this under a different name so riders can not complain as much about surge.Well, **** us. Look what the pax can do... View attachment 12926

Your pay is after the $1 Safe Ride fee is subtracted. A mini should be $3.20 based on the actual ride portion of the fare of $4.00.Let them. This occured to me too that uber would do this as just another way to make money. I'm so sick of uber's bullshit.I downloaded the app to check it out (and to see if it can be useful as a driver) . It wouldn't be the first time someone stole my cc,and probably not the last. My bank has been good at taking my word for it. Hell, I have even been blocked a few times because of my own suspicious activity. If the app requests your Uber sign in data, I'd avoid it like the plague. You might end up with your cc hacked.
Yep, no doubt. Sunday at 2:15 am in Midtown the surge just ended. Then I get a call request and the trip ended up paying $12 gross instead of the 2.7 that just went away. These guys either had that app or jus knew to wait our the surge.W hat does that do the rider app doesnt?
