Just opened app to find they are raising the booking fee by .35cents (no effect on drivers) and raising their take from 25% to 28%!

We currently only get .74/mile & 7.5/minute as it is!

Is this happening where you are? Comments?

Please let Uber know what you think!

This is how uBer rolls:
Feb 9th: "Helping you (drivers) more in 2017"
Feb 17: "Giving us (management) a pay raise"

uBer claims the booking fee increase is to help cover "regulatory" costs. How about a pay raise to help cover regulatory costs for drivers?

28% on top of a $2.35 booking fee is a JOKE.

Not to mention the gross overcharges on upfront fares. On many rides, Uber's take is 50 percent PLUS

The driver app notified of the changes and stated that it won't affect driver minimum payout, which means the increased booking fee will just increase the minimum pax fare. So here in Atlanta, that use to be $6.75, so the minimum will now be $6.95 with driver minimum remaining at $3.75.

What regulatory costs are you paying for?

$3,600 per year for a State Govt-mandated insurance policy for one...
Hope youre doing Black or SUV with those costs and if you are, youre making better ratez than the rest of us and should also have plenty of private clients to service outside of Uber tomoff set those costs.

Government mandate state minimum should only cost you $60 a month at most. If you are required to buy more, such as for ride share endorsement, thats a requirement from your insurance company not the state.

Nope just XL. I make it work because I hustle.

The least expensive TNC policy I could find for my vehicle and the kind of driving I do in my state is $3600 per year. Therefore $3600 is my Govt state mandated minimum.

Just because the Govt says you have to buy insurance doesn't mean there's someone willing to sell it to you for a reasonable price.
