Seriously guys it is not working. Better to just take advantage of the day and drive. Or quit. That would be the best thing. You want to send a message to Uber? Quit today, and find a career.
I'd say the strike is working. I've read articles about it in virtually every major source as well as tech and financial websites. EVERYONE is talking about the strike, and giving different takes on driver working conditions and pay. The strike was never going to impact service

My type of guy. Agreed. Fact is the whole strike stuff isnt going to do a THING. It's in the news today and gone tomorrow......to the next big story.

At the end of the day, if you dont like ubering, find something else. I cant understand why it's that hard for people to get. Seriously!!!

This forum should be a place to share ideas and help out your fellow driver......instead of rideshare bashing.

If you go to the community page you will see it has everything you can complain about advice, stories, people, complaints , pay ,technology, ratings, license, Vehicles, Insurance, taxes, tips, search information, news. So this forum has a little bit of everything, including bashing thank goodness. Which is what you are also doing

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
The sound of logic flying over another person's head that everyone who drives ride share must not have a career.

It was more about educating the public and creating a national dialogue. I don't live in a large market, but I did avoid logging on to Uber and Lyft all of today as my way of standing in solidarity. Hopefully, there will be more awareness by passengers now that this issue has made its way into the national news. Change is slow. Nothing lasting is ever achieved in a single day.

One day of news.

What logic would that be?

...or drives for other reasons.
What would be those reasons?

Service was impacted in SF.
Proof of this?

Become an English teacher, in addition to my current career. PLUS continue to drive ride share on the side when I feel like it to make my fun money? That crazy talk! lol
If you are doing this on the side, why do you care. Also, doing this on the side won't make you much money and put too much wear and tear on your car. Better ways to spend your time.

I'm all for coordinated labor actions to demand better conditions but yesterday was not it. I couldn't figure out which cities were or were not participating, whether it was from 7 am to 9 am, Pacific or Eastern time, or all day. So I drove. Then after just an hour or two my other job called and said they needed me to work a shift. So then I didn't drive anymore.

Oddly, I had won of the biggest days in terms of tipping ever. Don't know if it was the news or if I was just particularly likeable or just the luck of the draw in getting good tippers but it was like 100 percent, and everyone gave $5 or more.

Probably has nothing to do with anything but it was kind of notable.
