I was at Kipling Station waiting during Rush hour for 30 minutes and got no requests at all. Meantime I noticed a passenger who just came out and ordered Uber and his driver was 4 minutes away while I was right there and Uber didn't ping me.

Is there something terribly wrong with the system or does Uber decide which drivers get business. To me this makes no sense.

Uber fraud going on I think where they purposely choose which drivers get business and nothing at all to do with closest driver

Might have been a new driver that uber is trying to entice into working harder.

There is a thread here that details Lyft's algorithm. According to the poster, Lyft assigns rides in an attempt to keep all drivers earning the same money per hour on average. If that's true, the other guy got the ride because you've made more money than him. Doesn't surprise me since these companies are run by socialists.

That's really odd since I had no rides that whole day and was waiting for my first. Not socialists, I just think they're scam artists and fraudsters. I regret signing up for them.

I always have riders app running. Make sure that you can see your car in riders app. This week, I had my car disappeared on riders app while I was online. I have to close driver app and log back in.

You are very corrected. Yesterday, I had a rider in my car, she pushed a cancellation by mistake then I asked her to request Uber again> ping went to somebody else instead to me. Go figure!!!

Nothing wrong it's just Uber being Uber feeding new drives so they can quit other jobs and finance a new car and then trap in their evil system.
