Did you get a police report #?

Since it wasn't your fault, you shouldn't have gotten a ticket, correct?

Was his license expired or suspended?

If it was suspended, his insurance won't pay and you would either have to pay Lyft's $2500 deductible or go through your Allstate policy or pay for all the repairs yourself.

IF his insurance was current and valid, his insurance should cover damage, lost wages and possibly a rental car, then no need to inform Allstate.

Since there were no injuries, ambulance rides or medical costs, a lawyer is probably not worth it because they will just take a third of whatever the other guy's insurance will pay you.

If your back pain gets worse see a doc sooner than later so you have it on record in case you do choose to sue for injuries. I think you have up to 2 years to file if you can prove the back pain is worse and due to the accident.

Hey genius, before asking us what you should do, tell us what you did post accident.

Did you or did you not contact Lyft's critical response line? Do you or do you not know what that is?

Did you or did you not have a police report completed?

Did the other driver request the police not be involved due to his/her expired out of state driver's license?

Did the other driver request the police not be involved due to lack of proof of insurance?

At this point did you physically see red flags sprouting out of the other driver's ears?

Did the thought cross your mind you not wanting Allstate be made aware of this accident, so you then readily agreed for the police not to be involved?

About your back, go see a doctor right away. It appears you're suffering from soft tissue damage.
