I hate it. Why did they have to reinvent the wheel...It was better to just piggyback on Google Maps. I never use navigation voice, so I can't comment on that. However, I dislike it for the following reasons:

1. Interface looks like Blackberry Maps app from 2005.

2. Every time I log out, it re-defaults to Uber Navigation unless I manually switch it back.

3. Ping now shows MY location, not the pickup location, which is vital when you are near shore rate border and need to see pickup location in relation to the Parkway.

4. Since this update, Uber Driver App frequently gets stuck on spinning Uber wheel at the end each trip...Have to force close the app just to end the trip.

5. It tried to get me to drive through a public park down a bike path. Also didn't know Main Street in Belmar was closed for a parade today, despite dozens of drivers being in town today

I saw the app update over the weekend. Now it's back to the okd style. GOOD!

I was still using a different nav system, but I H.A.T.E.D. not seeing where the p/u was in the ping map!
Thank God it's gone for now at least., I had problems with it from the beginning. My app would lock up I couldn't switch between tabs it was horrible. Why do we need to see ourselves in the ping??? that was ridiculous. I thought all of a sudden I owned an iPhone because of all the app issues with the iOS platform. I know for a fact that I missed at least three or four surge rides over 2x because of the app locking up. Really a complete Nightmare and it went away as quick as it came as if they just flipped a switch!!! I just can't believe for a so-called technology company they have the worst app software coders... from what I understand they don't spend much in that department either and it clearly shows.

Absolutely worst navigation app, lost a couple of trips on Saturday due to the app freezing. Uber app must have froze at least 10-15 times this weekend. I tried giving it a chance but ended up going back to Google maps on Sunday. Definitely do miss seeing where the actual trip is located. I already know where I'm at. Uber navigation did take me to a couple closed roads. Garbage!

A friend that drives went and bought a whole new phone because Uber blamed her operating system...

I think this is their attempt at Nav system if Google (Waze & Maps) drops the interface if their ride share service takes off. If Google goes whole hog on this, Uber can't fight them with a ludicrous valuation and more reluctant lenders. Maybe they should make nice with Garmin, since Garmin's GPS's need a business boost. Most of the newer Garmins have bluetooth and with a little software upgrade...
