These guys are everywhere on the Pike and 93 lately. They were never hidden and parked along the Pike or 93, they'd just cruise the fast lane and only pull over the real assholes on the road. Now it seems they're cracking down as I've seen a few rideshare drivers with Lyft Amps in the window pulled over the last few nights. They even had a speed trap entering the Airport. Be careful out there!

State Police had some troopers standing in the median with speed guns clocking cars coming around the merge just before Terminal A pickups the other night. This is the merge right after you turn right at the red light by the taxi lot approaching Terminal A for pickups. Can't see them until you crest the hill and it's too late, be careful.

Yup. Only reason they didn't get me there the other night was because he had just signaled a driver to pull over and hadn't raised his speed gun back up yet (or binocular) whatever that thing is they're using these days.

After the state police scandals, they are mad and have to actually do police work again. Have they started the speed traps at night in the airport tunnels yet? It's hard to do the speed limit in an empty tunnel.
Yes, taking the Sumner Tunnel to Logan from Boston/93, I have seen troopers camped out right at the end of the tunnel as you come up into East Boston. Lights off waiting. Right on the left where they are usually doing construction in that little cutout spot.

That's the Callahan. The Sumner goes back to the city.

Got pulled over in traffic with a cop flagging me down from the freaking sidewalk. Couldn't believe it. These guys were pulling over every other car looking for anything they could ticket. And they wonder why people are getting sick of the tough guys routines.

Stay within the speed limit.. never go over it.

I can't believe someone would drive 55 or even 60 @ storrow drive. It is not even a highway.
It's very easy to drive 55+ on Storrow coming inbound from Soldiers Field Road when you're the only car at 2 a.m. Even in steady traffic, many drive well over 50 mph there.

Isn't the speed limit 40 mph?

I mentioned last year that I received two speeding tix within three or five years on Storrow at the same area inbound, driving in from the Doubletree hotel area on Soldiers Field Road.

The last one was clocked at 58 mph which astounded me. No traffic in front to guide me and slow my speed. Both in a taxi.

Both were after midnight when traffic is light or even empty at times.

It's easy for some like me (and others?) to get ingrained in a talk radio show or music and lose track of my sensibilities.

It was the same officer both times. I appealed both and they were dismissed.

Ironically, since those incidents, I rarely see a cop sitting near that inbound spot around the BU bridge inbound. Hardly ever during my night hours.

They seem more prominent outbound at that inlet past Copley?
