Well so far this thread has only you and me... but other threads might have disparaging remarks towards n00bs.
Some warranted, others not.

There can be misplaced anger... some people might wrongly vent just because of the deterioration of driving for Uber.

I advise you to read heavily all throughout the site. Many questions already have answers.

I don't know about you but I took 4 non-surging rides in under an hour and made $40. Don't sound like minimum wage to me or my pocket.

Wait until you figure out your expenses.
It probably won't be today, but one day.

At LA rates nonsurge, a one hour 60 mph trip will put a hearty $25 ish in your pocket... that'd be your true profit.
