Why all the hate for newbs?
Idk just from what I've seen on this thread about driving tendencies, too many new drivers, etc.Too specific... can you generalize?
+1Cuz u don't know how to do this, and willingly give rides for $1:
I enjoy the noobs. They're more open to Skipping than 'vets' I meet on the road.
Its not all about the money, your car is going to need replacing too. Think about that. Those miles you put on it aren't free.Yeah surging is freaking awesome, but some areas aren't surging all day everyday. You get stuck with some non-surge's sometimes. Plus if you want to make money, you'll everything you can get. I don't know about you but im not saying to money.
First, Welcome to the forum.Idk just from what I've seen on this thread about driving tendencies, too many new drivers, etc.
Non surge rides give the illusion of money. If you factor in all costs, you are making less than minimum wage. Add to that the fact that you are wasting your time on something that won't look good on most resumes since any non brain-dead person can uber. Then add in the very real risks we run as drivers (read: accidents). I get it though. You're desperate for money.Yeah surging is freaking awesome, but some areas aren't surging all day everyday. It's not all newbies. It's just the 90% that ask for information but don't believe it. And ask for advice but don't take it.Why all the hate for newbs?
Wait till you do four $4 rides in an hour. At $2.40 per trip after Uber's cut, that's $9.60 to you before expenses. Uber on!I don't know about you but I took 4 non-surging rides in under an hour and made $40. Don't sound like minimum wage to me or my pocket.
I already have, and although they are not the greatest, shit happens sometimes. Not to mention either way you look at it, thats $9 more in my pocket than I have an hour ago. Look man you can't expect to make $20/hr everyday for the rest of your life working for a ride share, life doesn't work like that. You complain and talk as if this is a full time job when its not man. It's great if you're a part timer witha day/night job, but if you rely on this as your sole money maker, you have a lot coming to you in the learning department man.Wait till you do four $4 rides in an hour. Wait until you figure out your expenses.I don't know about you but I took 4 non-surging rides in under an hour and made $40. Don't sound like minimum wage to me or my pocket.
