Hey, I'm new to Phoenix, mostly work down in Tucson, looking to see what it's like up north.

Anyone able to clue me into some nice spots to hit? Gonna be working evening and drunk shifts.

Thanks!

Yeah Los Angeles, San Fran., NYC lol...super low demand in phx at the moment.
Mr T basically covered it. I'd add the casinos to his list especially if you'll be doing overnites.

Hey man I wasn't being a smart ass just so you know, but the Phx market is so over saturated I'm not sure anyone is making any money.

I stopped driving but I stay in the know as much as possible. Mr. T seems very active in the Phx market so he'll have a better idea on what's going on than myself.

I think it's a struggle in Phx right now and apparently Uber's getting ready to cut rates again, so all I can say is good luck to you.

Casinos are hit and miss. Usually 4-6am they are busy out going. The 3 places listed above are pretty good areas all the time. Most of my business comes from there and generally enough to go around.

Over all it's incredibly slow right now. But ASU is back in session on the 22nd so it should get busier.

Beginning with the wknd of Aug 14th, phx metro demand will gradually start to increase.
But keep in mind it's an influx of students - Millennials.
Millennials are positively the worse passengers. All they know is ride sharing. They've never had to request a cab wait 40 mins and pay $2 .75/ mile.
They expect not to wait more then 5 mins for a ride. They expect the vehicle to be a newer model and freshly washed. They expect not to pay more then $4.00 to go from campus to their apartment. And tipping? Forget about it!

The real money and all of the wonderful out of town passengers don't begin to flow in till after the New Year peaking around March until the end of April.
So we have about 5 months until it becomes $ensible again to drive....Sorry folks!

Mill will generally keep you busy all night long but it's a cluster. ASU campus to Old Town Snotsdale is a $11 ride too. Stay away from ASU during the daylight hours though. Unless you enjoy running kids a mile up the road to the bar, or taking them home from campus on a two minute drive to their house.

OMG cut rates again.....
When will you see the light?
The only way to prevent this is to limit the amount of drivers. To achieve that is to make it more difficult to be a driver. Historically regulation allowed only the best drivers. Can't you see more drivers means less earnings for drivers and Uber keep improve theirs.

Easy bro, if you don't like the prices, don't drive. I read on here all the time about people complaining, no one forced you to drive for Uber. If it's so intolerable, go get a real job.

Yeah, thats why I won't go around Mill Ave or ASU, bunch of stuck up snob college kids who expect way too much for what they are getting.

I find it easier to hang around other areas where the people aren't quite so stupid and annoying. If you want to spend all night dealing with drunk college kids that can't handle their booze, don't know where they are, and are incredibly impatient and rude then feel free. If I wanted those kind of problems I would just go back to driving a cab.

I go where the money is. Yes college kids and drunks can be annoying, but they can also be pretty fun. If they're dicks, kick em out, if not I put up with em, money is money, I don't care who's riding xD

I agree for the most part. The ASU/ Tempe pax I've taken up to this point have been pretty tame. But I don't usually go there outside of Fridays and Saturdays.

There are obvious hot spots and some you just have to find on your own. I have my favorite areas that tip and have longer trips. Go work down town Phoenix tons of $5-10 rides for hours not my thing so if I get close I get out of there quickly!
