How's it going everyone!
I'm a new driver. In fact, I'm completely new to the concept of ride sharing and started driving for Uber about 2 weeks ago. I made almost nothing with Uber so I gave Lyft a shot a couple of days ago and it's A LOT better.
I get a steady flow of riders with Lyft and they usually go long distances. I've also noticed that I make more in a shorter time frame when working from 10 pm-1 am
How about a couple of stories from my first 2 days with Lyft?!
The first night I drove for Lyft I picked up a guy in Alpharetta who had a little too much to drink because his car broke down and drove him to GSU. Well, after dropping him off I was driving N on 85/75 and right before the split a blue Mazda Miata rear ended a car and flipped right beside me. It was like something you would see out of an action movie! The car landed on it's top and slid/spun about 75ft from the impact. I had some basic medical training from my days in the Army so stopped to help. When I had gotten to the car the lady had already crawled out and was conscious and covered in blood. Most of the blood was coming out from various cuts and scrapes but also from a nasty head wound to which I applied pressure until EMT's took over. She'll survive, but her car was toast.
This next one will be hard to top.
Last night I picked up 4 girls (3 in mid 20's, and 1 about 50) from a bar somewhere on the outskirts of Alpharetta near Duluth. They were all VERY good looking and had already had a few drinks. Well, there destination was the Buckhead Saloon which was a good 45 mins away and just perfect for an amazing ride. There wasn't a single dull moment with these girls. They were talking about their sex toys, what toy to buy next, how often they use them and how they use them...random things about tacos...more sex talk...asking me to be their boyfriend..compliments on my driving...more tacos and then they mentioned making a porn! 2 of the girls were teachers, and the other 2 were nurses. They wanted it to be some kind of teacher/nurse scene. Then, the tacos come up again and they want me to be a "Taco Bell worker" with "lots of sauces" (just how they said it). I finally dropped them off. They actually wanted me to pick them up after, but I was done for the night and didn't feel like staying in the area for another 3 hours. And yes, I regret not picking them up!
Well, that's it for my first 2 days of Lyft. Needless to say, I'll be sticking with Lyft for a while.
