Speaking of pricing, do you know if-when Long Beach, Calif. cabbies did or might be able to enact that law passed in 2015 I believe - first in U.S. allowing cab companies to drop price floor and lower their fares, lawfully, to compete with Uber/Lyft. I don't think it ever happened. Or if it did, I never heard about it.They won't be missed. Taxi industry must step up their game in three ways:
1) Enter the 21st century with a convenient app.
2) Operate better and cleaner cars.
3) Customer service attitude.
Truthfully, pricing, for the most part, not that big of a deal. However, taxis need to get competitive in that too.
It was enacted alright:Speaking of pricing, do you know if-when Long Beach, Calif. cabbies did or might be able to enact that law passed in 2015 I believe - first in U.S. allowing cab companies to drop price floor and lower their fares, lawfully, to compete with Uber/Lyft. Uber only does that by avoiding so many pesky laws and regulations and cycling through tens of thousands of drivers with relentless rate cuts. They won't be missed. Taxi industry must step up their game in three ways:
