Ran LYFT for the first time yesterday. Tried working some of the guarantee hours. Did not make a bit of difference since I made more than the guarantee every hour I tried. Still have a few questions in regards to how it works. So if you are a LYFT driver that would not mind helping a fellow app user out then give me a p.m. and I will contact you.

LYFT increased overall earnings by quite a bit...6.a.m. to 8 p.m. $256 for the day.

Thank you for your consideration.

Don't be shy; post your questions on the public forum. If your questions are judged to be obvious, frivolous or just plain ol' vanilla dumb then of course you will get flamed/roasted, but it's all part of the fun.

Good luck to you! Do you have an estimate of miles you drove, both "on trip" miles and overall miles for your 14 hours?

I have the willingness and work ethic to do five 14-hours days per week (70 hours total). When I tried it with UBER, I was idle for many of my 14 hours, and did not make much money; so I don't do it any more. I work selected times on selected days. I also need to assess the wear/tear impact on my vehicle IF I consistently do 70-hours weeks.

Lyft sucs long pick ups and continued micromanaged emails and promise of a tip on the app. I can make 250 with UBER in 2/3 of that time and if they don't tip 1 or 2 or 3 stars at the best so you can see what is coming to you with 4.51 rating. No more Lyft I will leave tip on the app find.

312.6 miles driven. 256 dollars earned. 256/312.6=82 cents per mile earned.
fuel cost=25.55
256-25.55=230.45

Then we enter mileage deduction 168.79
230.45-168.79=61.66 net.

Now as to the answer of is the miles taken accurate. EVERY car is different. In my opinion there is no way in hell the full cost of operating the car comes to that. The only way to get real data is for a VERY long period of time and number crunching. You also have to use the deduction that factors in fuelk cost also. These are the number that I have for that day.
