Uber is asinine. They deactivate your Eats because of the selfie but let you keep doing Rideshare. What a moronic company.

Hope you gets this figured out.
Any idea how long ago they started doing this? I never took a selfie for DoorDash ever.

Anyone know how to appeal a deactivation for delivering for Uber Eats? Long story short I was deactivate because they claim a photo I took they could not see my face. But I think also because I had 2 phones I was using. I did notify Uber that sometimes I would switch my phones. I told them many of times about it.
I had a 99% satisfaction rate, 4% cancel rate and the acceptance rate varies. That all depended on the pay and distance of the orders. With gas prices in California $5 for 25 miles was not worth the trip.

But I want to appeal and get back to work for them. Like I said they claiming it was not me and then said they found evidence that someone else may be using my account to complete trips.
I asked if that was the case why you guys never called me? sked for the evidence and they refuse to give to me.

So as for now I am no longer eligible to use the driver app to deliver food.
But they said I can pickup and drop off people.

Just looking to see if anyone had this problem or know of any way/help I can get to get reactivated.

Why would you be using two phones ..... something sounds hokey!

I mean I have two phones, one is solely for Uber/Lyft and so on ..... the other is a personal line that nobody gets.

I always keep the work phone in the work vehicle, it never comes into my house.

And the work vehicle is never garaged at my house either.

Are you sure you are deactivated? I was once told I was deactivated and nothing happened. Just kept driving...

And why should they care if you have 2 phones? I've used 2 phones simulataneously with no problem. (Def not why I was "deactivated")

1. I used two phones in Houston because T-Mobile is horrible but decided to just stick with my ATT Go Phone instead because they investigated me for possible fraud with the switching of numbers to much.

2. There is no real way to appeal and you just need to accept you with grab the Pax or work for Hub or Dash instead.

SO THAT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE ALL IS NORMAL.

-CONCLUSION BEFORE I GET LOOSE MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT AGAIN IS AN ADVISE TO AVOID EVER BEING LOGGED INTO A SECOND DEVICE OR MORE, DON’T ACTIVELY USE A MI-FI HOT SPOT IF YOU DON;T UNDERSTAND CONNECTIONS SETTINGS ETC.
-WORSE, IF YOU’RE IN NYC WHICH REQUIRES A SECONDARY ACCOUNT TOTALY LEGGIT FOR THE REGION AS AN ENFORCED REQUIREMENT TO ME ABLE TO WORK IN THE SUBURBS (FOR WHO DOESNT KNOW NYC PICKUPS ARE NOT ALLOWED WITH A REGULAR ACCOUNT BUT A COMMERCIAL LICENSED DRIVER,VEHICLE,INSURANCE), YOU’LL BE OUT OF LUCK TWICE BECAUSE EVEN YOU‘RE SUBURBS ACCOUN WITH A SECOND VEHICLE, PLATED AND INSURED PRIVATELY HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR TLC LICENSED ACCOUNT GET DEACTIVATED AS WELL WHICH I THINK IT MAKES SENSE SINCE THEY’RE GOING AFTER THE PERSON. SO GET SCREWED TWICE.
-SECOND ACCOUNT IS ANOTHER UBER MISGUIDED POLICY WHICH ESPECIALLY WORKS AGAINST THE MULTIPLE DEVICE SCENARIO YOU MAY HAVE AS IN MY CASE FOR HAVING SUCH SETUP NOT ONLY RUNNING LYFT AND EVERYTHING SEPARATELY. BUT THAT EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS….YOU GO WORK IN NYC YOU HAVE YOUR SECOND, MAIN FAILED, YOU SIGN OUT OF YOUR SECOND ACOUNT TO VERIFY IDENTITY OF THEIR FACE RECOGNITION REQUEST, EMAIL ARE BEING SENT IN THE BACKGROUND ABOUT NEW DEVICE NEW LOCATION AND THE WHOLE STORY DESCRIBED ABOVE ALL SQUEEZES YOU INTO A CORNER TILL DEACTIVATION.
-STUPID POLICIES THEY DONT LISTEN JUST SO THEIR ENGINEERING TEAMS GET HELPED. Well, its a good thing i gues from my experience to give rides than delivering food, because rideshare us paying better than food delivery.

For the last couple of months I have been doing Uber Eats some occasional mornings and some occasional nights, so far I am not impressed, I can do $40 to $60 plus booked hours working early morning in the Inland Empire

I can confirm that they don't like us switching devices, I was using two devices and not really caring every time I got in the car which one I use for Uber or which one I use for lyft, so for the last few months I have been using one device for Uber and another device for Lyft and making sure I always use the same device, as a result I've only seen the facial verification may be twice a week at first I was getting it two to three times or more everyday,

For the last few weeks I have switched to using a split view on my 10-in tablet one side Uber and one side left so far still no bugging me with facial verification,

I now use the other 10-in tablets for waze navigation traffic information and as a speedometer in split view so my passengers can easily see how fast I'm going and the need for any detours, and for my personal use.
