Just when I am ready to uber for a couple of hours, I stopped at the station to tank and to check my tires and all at once I saw a nail stuck right in the middle of one of the tires, but no flat tire yet. They told me they need 2 hrs; so I walked back home. Fortunately it is only 10 mn away from my place.

lucky (relatively speaking) that the nail was right in the middle and not near the sidewall.

some (most?) places won't try to plug the hole if it's too close to the sidewall.

I have a plug kit in my car. Its easy to do, I've plugged my own tire 6 or 6 times now.

Put the plug in the tool. Pull out the nail with pliers, put some rubber cement on the plug and push it in.

If you do get one, get the one with a T-handle. The screwdriver looking ones are useless.

Some places won't even plug anymore. They don't want liability issues. Also, keep in mind if you've driven on a tire that's seriously low, you may have compromised the integrity of the sidewall.

I carry plug kits in my car.
Fix on rim in 5 minutes.
