I don't think it will effect us in CT but it won't be good for NY drivers in CT. Just means we'll be more likely to get tickets when someone has a destination in NY state. Someone posted on here that a CT driver got a few fines dropping off at Westchester Airport. Now cops will be enforcing the rideshare regulations if passed. Demand won't be high in NY for drivers with NY plates to go back to their state in the beginning. Most of the NY plates are drivers with no endorsements and they'll keep coming to CT because it remains unregulated.

Ohhhhh but wait some nyc drivers can drive in parts of nyc?
Need all the endorsements through the TLC to drive in NYC. Most drivers don't want to go that route or they're in the process of getting the endorsements and they come up to CT to drive. I've even seen drivers with TLC plates in central CT working for hours, which could be illegal. Even yelled at a guy to go back to NYC before threatening to take pictures of his plates and report him. It's not really fair that Uber allows them to do that.

You won't need endorsements when it passes. It won't be like tlc. Same way a person drives in CT with regular plates will be the same way they will be able to drive in NYS minus the 5 burrows. So the same NY drivers without endorsements driving in CT will be able to drive in the different counties the same way. It will be big because there are millions of people in the lower NYS counties. The issue at Westchester airport isn't dropping off. Police check to see if you're picking up anyone. NYC tlc isn't allowed to pick up at the airport but they tend to try anyway that's why police bother drivers there. Also the only other issue will be pay rate. I've seen numerous sites saying it will be around 0.67 a mile, which is the cheapest in the country

It's not illegal for him to drive in CT with TLC plates. Most the cars you see driving in CT with TLC plates are only driving in the area to make their weekly guarantee. They have to do a certain amount of trips, so they found out it's easier to do it in CT then NYC. They don't care that the trips are only $3 they just need to do a certain amount and they still get a guarantee
First of all, the article states the DMV will regulate it. Next, if you know anything about the TLC endorsements and how the CT endorsements for limos work. NYC TLC drivers cam drop off in CT but they're only allowed to pickup in CT if the destination is back over state lines.
