A rant & a question to drivers
So the last couple of weeks I've just started to use uber and I love it
A couple days ago I discovered I could see my rider rating and it's a 4.79

Like to me that's bad and maybe I care to much but I'm wondering what have I done in the past rides , (maybe only been on like 10 rides)
I also just realized from googling around that some drivers expect tips and I had noooo freakin clue, and I don't know how I feel about that ... My rides are only worth like 12$ most , so to me giving a tip for every ride is kinda crazy ,

The only time I did tip was when I was drunk ,It was like 1am 4th or July night , and I got in the car said hi all normal , but then he asked how my night was and I kinda started to bust out crying but I was apologetic lmaoooo so I tipped him Cusz I felt bad that must've been awkward but yeah to me I only feel like I should tip if I cause any kind of Inconvince u know , lol is that bad?

What else do u think could have cause my bad rating , I'm polite , I think , I do have small talk when I first get in but then the convo kinda drowns out Cusz I'm just awkward and I dont hold convos well unless the other person is more yappy lol , is that why ???

Will drivers be less likely to pick me up because of a 4.79 I also give all my drivers 5s because none of them have ever just been like super crazy or scary or anything , even when they mess up a bit I still give 5s, should I start giving out more critiqued ratings ?? Lol idk what to do

Anyone else have a rating they don't understand ?

Couple of tips for you that will help you maintain a high passenger rating;

Be ready and waiting when requesting an Uber.
If there is an UberPOOL option DO NOT use it.
Don't let others use your account or request ride for other people.
If a driver had to drive further to collect you than your fare, consider tipping the driver.
If your fare seemed unbelievably cheap, consider tipping your driver.
Rate your driver 5star unless you experience an actual problem, while drivers don't see individual ratings if they noticed a drop in their driver rating they may suspect you as giving them a low rating (4 & under) and adjust the rating they gave you.
If your truly worried about your rating, consider exiting the vehicle with "Thanks for the trip, 5 stars for you"

While it may add up if you're taking a lot of trips, a few bucks will do wonder for your rating. As much as I love to get a crisp five spot, even two bucks is great as it validates the service I gave and will get u an instant 5 star. Adding the 5 star comment from the above poster with the tip will really make your rating go boom!

Also just be nice when getting in and getting out as much as well flowing chit-chat helps its always not needed, but the start and beginning is pretty critical to nail. You seem like a friendly person so it shouldnt be a problem. Good luck .

Many drivers rate riders below 5 to let others know they don't tip. Give a couple bucks to each you will get 5 stars every time. I tip at least 20 percent min 2 bucks and always get 5 stars. Read around and you see many drivers don't rate 5 stars if don't tip. I give 5 stars to select that don't tip but I'll give 5stars to anyone that didn't tip if they were waiting outside, don't bring food or ask me goto the drive thru or something makes me lose time or money. Let me make money and get done faster that's as good many riders make you wait out wait time. Without a tip that's a falling rating to many drivers.

Your ride may be around $12 bit the driver gets around 6 or 7. Yes, he expects a tip. Most likely this is rhe reason fir tour low score.

Lol, I bet my rating is worse then yours and I still get picked up.
