Uber is already testing giving customers the price up front so they want have tap to agree to surge before hand. I actually think it help Uber X drivers once pax see the price beforehand on select, XL and others.
If you as a driver don't know what the surge is over standard rate time/mileage, how can you verify that ubers paying you correctly. Sounds very fishy to me...
Well it will just add to the list of the number of shady things done. I also think because pending litigation is going after surge pricing they appear to enacting change early.
