Did my first UBER pool trip this afternoon which I accidentally accepted while on set destination to Parramatta.

First ping was at Rose Bay going to Centennial Park which was 2 minutes away from were I am at that point in time. One male passenger.

While on trip, received a second pool ping Bondi going to Tempe. One male and one female passenger.

Spoke to all passengers and the cost to them being an UBER promo week are free.

Based on my earning shown in the app, it showed pick up point at Rose Bay and drop off point to Tempe and my earning is $32.05 from fare of $46.83. UBER fee is $14.78 which is 31.56% as oppose to what I currently pay UBER of 22% (old timer) or $10.30.

I queried the matter and still waiting for response.

Second ping was 2 passengers? That doesn't sound right.

Don't accept pool requests. Cancel them.

We don't want to help Uber 1 bit with this product.
I guarantee you that there would be another ping for the next pool rider requesting or else you would not know that there is a request.

I have no intention of cancelling them as this is the only way I can help UBER and most importantly myself to counter treats from OLA and Taxify which I am not a driver.

However, as I said earlier in my earlier post, I am still waiting for UBER response on why they are charging 31.56% not 22.0 % UBER fee on this particular pool trip. I will not be accepting future pool trip until I get a reasonable response from them.

Buenas noches.

The way uber screws drivers over - and now you want to help them. Wow, ok.

Why don’t you sign up for the other rideshare companies?

Uber takes too much commission.

When there is no discount for Uber Pool, not many people use it. If you pick up a passenger it’s nornally just 1 pickup and they get a trip all to themselves for the price of Uber pool, it’s not fair on us.

Boycott poo

What you are doing is taking 2 additional jobs from X if there is 3 pool riders..

If those 2 riders didn't book poo, there be 2 jobs back in the X

With poo, you are taking earnings from other drivers and reducing surge demand

you get paid only 2/3 of the fare on uberpool rides compared to standard uberx rates. They simply take a lot higher commission too on uberpool even though riders are not even paying right now and it free rides. But that doesn't mean uber wants to be paying driver unlimited $$ :p

just think of it this way you do the same work and pick up more people but take a 1/3 haircut for providing that service which is actually "more work" for you to pick up multiple riders and to drop off multiple riders and the riders getting discounted rides plus split fares when more riders hop into the car :D

Anyways do what you want and drive how you like but that pool. You will not get paid whatever commission rate you are on since pool is calculated differently.

Pool has a minimum commission of 11% and maximum 45%. Its just the way it is. You're 22% goes out the window which you've accepted in their driver agreement.

Hi Danny
I drive three platforms
If you only drive Uber you are selling your self short.
If you have allegiance to only Uber you are also selling yourself short as Uber doesn't care.
If you have tried any other platforms you are not educating yourself.
Take care

I think it's better the more people use uber pool as it gets more pax on the road and in the Uber app so likely more surges

Pretty sure it's 10% on first p/u and 45% on second. I have done 1 uber Pool. Was good except second p/u was in a hurry. But money seemed ok.
