So I have a cousin, who recently recovered from Thyroid cancer, flew with his wife from UK to Hong Kong a couple days ago to get on a cruise around South East Asia. It’s their ruby anniversary so they decided they had to go. As my Mom said, “he must feel lucky”.
And... his son & d-in-law are expecting their first child more or less upon their return.
What has this to do with U/L, nothing, I just felt the need to share.

I hope so. He's one of my two favorite cousins, and the other one already died from cancer. They're from a steelworks & chemical works town so C is a bit of a given.
His father was in bomb disposal till he broke a leg playing soccer which ended his career, so maybe the son is right about having lucky genes.
Two other Merchant Navy uncles died of misadventure at work (crazy f's), another got shot by the Germans for not co-operating and another one got sunk 3 times and yet survived to eventually die of yes, C, - so the lucky genetics idea is a bit strained.
